A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. It lets a site recognize a returning browser, and it lets us count how many people read a page without knowing who any of them are.

What this site uses

• The ones it needs. A small number of cookies keep the site working and secure, including while you fill in a form. Without them the site does not work properly, so there is nothing to switch off.
• Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies that tell us which pages are read, how people arrive, and which browsers and screen sizes to build for. We see totals, not people.

This site runs no advertising or retargeting cookies. If that ever changes, this page changes with it, before the cookie does.

Turning them off

Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually under settings for privacy or site data. Google also publishes an opt-out browser add-on that stops Google Analytics counting your visits anywhere. Refusing analytics cookies does not stop this site working, and it does not stop you sending us a service request.
