Commercial

The building cannot close for the repair.

Restaurants, retail, healthcare, multi-tenant offices, schools and property managers, with the permits, inspections and scheduling the work has to fit around.

Permits, inspections, and a building still open.

Commercial plumbing in San Francisco is a compliance exercise as much as a trade one. Most installations, repairs and upgrades need permits and inspections through the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection, and all of it has to meet the California Plumbing Code. Low-flow fixture requirements and seismic retrofitting of piping systems both keep moving, and a project that misses one loses weeks.

We have worked buildings from SoMa and the Financial District to Mission Bay and North Beach, for property managers, business owners and developers. That includes the parts of the job that are specific to a use: grease traps in commercial kitchens, ADA-compliant restrooms in public spaces, large-capacity and tankless water heaters where hot water is a health requirement rather than a comfort.

Our hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, and we plan the work around how the building trades where we can. We provide the documentation your inspections need.

The work

What we take on

  • Commercial water heaters

Tankless and large storage systems, sized on capacity and efficiency, with rebate and incentive guidance.

  • Grease traps and kitchen drainage

Installation and service for restaurants and food service, where the drain line is the operating risk.

  • ADA-compliant restrooms

Fixture heights, clearances and controls that meet the requirement rather than approximate it.

  • Gas line service

Inspection, repair and installation for commercial ovens, boilers and heating equipment.

  • Drain and sewer service

Camera diagnosis and hydro jetting on commercial lines, planned around when the building is quiet.

  • Repiping and water lines

Supply lines replaced in occupied buildings, staged so tenants keep water.

  • Seismic retrofitting of piping

Bracing and connections brought up to current requirements for the building’s plumbing systems.

  • Permits and documentation

San Francisco Department of Building Inspection permits, California Plumbing Code compliance, inspection paperwork.

  • Planned preventative maintenance

Scheduled inspection of drains, gas lines and hot water so failures land on your calendar rather than mid-service.

  • New construction and remodel

Tenant improvements and build-outs, coordinated with your general contractor and the inspector.
