Leak detection
The leak you can see is not the expensive one.
Slab leaks and hidden supply leaks located with acoustic equipment and cameras, and leak defense systems installed to shut the water off before you get home.
Found before the floor comes up.
The first sign is usually a water bill that moved without the household changing anything. Behind it can be a slab leak, a failing supply line, or a joint that has been weeping into a wall cavity for months. Left alone, water finds structure: mold, rot, and in the worst cases a foundation that begins to settle.
There is a test you can run yourself. Check the water meter, leave every tap in the home closed for two hours, then read it again. If the numbers moved, water is going somewhere. What that test cannot do is find an intermittent leak or one under a slab, which is where our equipment comes in. Acoustic sensors, ground microphones and pipe cameras locate the source without opening the floor to look for it.
We are certified installers of the Leak Defense System, which monitors flow through the home and closes the supply when it sees a leak. For a property that sits empty part of the year, that is the difference between a repair and a renovation.
The work
What we take on
Slab leak detection
Located under concrete without opening the floor first, then repaired or rerouted.
Hidden supply leaks
Acoustic sensors, ground microphones and pipe cameras pinpoint the source behind walls and under ground.
Same-day appointments
Available when water is moving now, because damage from an active leak is measured in hours.
Repair after location
A section repair where that solves it, or a planned replacement when the line has more failures in it.
Leak Defense System installation
We are certified installers. Sensors, alarms and an automatic shut-off valve, monitoring flow through the home.
Shut-off valve review
We show you where your main is, which valve type you have, and how to close it in the dark.
Questions
What clients ask first
Read the water meter, keep every tap in the home closed for two hours, then read it again. If the numbers advanced, water is escaping somewhere in the system.
A system of sensors, alarms and shut-off valves that monitors water flow through the home and closes the supply automatically when it detects a leak, which limits damage and stops waste.
Generally yes, in homes, apartments and condominiums. Installation varies with the existing plumbing, and some systems need access to the main supply line, which is sometimes outside the building.
Not to find it. Our equipment locates the source first, so the only thing opened up is the part that has to be repaired.
Close the main shut-off valve, which is usually inside the home near where the main line enters. It is either a lever or a round handle. Then dry any standing water and call us.
